Ahhhhh the new year begins and so do all the sales!!!
This is a great time of the year…. sales galore and a time to stock up the wardrobe! While some may of just had the equivalent of a shopping lobotomy from all the Christmas buying, I say spend a little more. Believe me , sometimes things are going half price, even 70% off this time of the year…. wait too long and it will be back to the usual shopping cycle of occasional 20% off.
One of the things I like to do when shopping is hardly ever buy retail prices….. by that I mean, most stores will always have a sale at some point, you just have to wait it out. Try it on in the shop and get it when the price drops or online which could be even cheaper. Yeah yeah I know….it won’t work in every case, sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and pay full price…. sometimes you just can’t wait a second longer to have that cool shirt and short combo in your wardrobe. Also the really awesome stuff… well it doesn’t always go on sale 🙁
I love this striped boob tube…. it’s floaty, fun and well if you have a fat day… hoorah!!!! I got it for 25% off and what I love about it is the built in bra/corset. For someone like me that’s needed, but for the bigger busted lasses… braless it is. And I also got the Sleeveless cardi half price.. (pat myself on the back for that one!). The Saba pants are oldies but also a half price snatch. Here’s to the festive season, may all your sale item come true.
OUTFIT : Top – Witchery, Sleeveless Cardi – Decjuba, pants – Saba, Shoes – Nine West
I love the look of off the shoulder but it is too annoying for me???
Well…. a little bit. Depends where I am going for the day really. If it’s just drinks with the ladies sitting down lifting my drinking hand, I’ll be alright BUT going shopping, moving about too much, anything requiring you doing, well stuff… then the off the should not such a great idea!
Mine is a tighter fit, so maybe the loose fit is the go. It’s just a bit constricting and you’re continuously tugging on it to pull it down (that doesn’t sound so good!!). haha!
I won’t say I’m put right off the ‘off the shoulder’… let’s be honest if I see one that is too fabulous, I’m probably going to end up buying it anyway and only wearing it on non lifting up my arms kinda days…..! But then again beauty is pain, beauty is sometimes uncomfortable… it’d be so easier being a guy wouldn’t it…!
But do love the feel of this one… and while it’s a little tight around the shoulders, it has a flowy waist, that any girl would enjoy, especially when you go out for dinner (like your fat pants!). AND it looks great with my bigger shoulders… cos sometimes a girl wants to put away those guns!
OUTFIT : Top – Witchery, Skirt – Witchery, (bit of a Witchery fest) Shoes – Zara basic collection
AUSTRALIAN FASHION WEEK 2016
Yet again the weekend edition was all that was expected! Glamorous and stunning in the rustic building that is Carriageworks.
Loved the runway show…. and I’m one of those people who loves models. The tall, slender beings with arms and legs that go for miles and pointy, sharp, defined features. Some with graceful, gliding walks…. others not so graceful… more like a preying mantus!! And there couldn’t be a show without the all to common nip slip… yep had one of those… and feeling that moment of dread for the model, although I’m pretty sure she didn’t care, it was all in a days work really! And she had a nice pair!
I decided to go monochrome…. with a touch of dark grey down below. I was pretty happy with the new top I purchased from White Suede…. fit me like a glove and had the structure to shape me nicely and split arms for that Ellery type look (sometimes you just can’t afford the top notch stuff). I went with a boot because I wanted to add some edge… the glamorous pump would have been great too… but I think the boots strengthen a more stylish look. And let’s be honest a bucketload more comfortable for a night out. And that clutch…. a little bit of hair and gold trimming…..what more can I say! Winning!
Fashion Week…. it’s been a pleasure!!!
OUTFIT : Top – White Suede, Skirt – Witchery, Boots – Nine West, clutch – Zimmerman.
I’m back…! Yep.. had a little bit of a break but the words of wisdom start to flow again!
Do you love the start of the warmer months…. but don’t love putting away those luxurious coats that looked so good in winter? WELL… the best way to have both is a long line vest jacket, like this one. No arms… now that’s the way to cover the not being too hot situation!
I love a monochrome look but discovering the grey and white ensemble… a pure winner. The light colour also adds a bit of freshness for spring… a bit like a crisp apple cider (the dry ones that is).
With the shoe, go for one like this to make it a bit more edgy (and believe me it’s edgy… bit of a skyscraper) …. want a feminine and more classic look…. go the pump and keep the white theme happening.

Ahhhh the serenity!!!
Grey is like the new black this season! Lovin the long line coats with slits up the side…. comfy and luxurious.
The black, white and grey colour palate is my idea of winter style at its best. Pair it with an androgynous shoe with a gold bit of bling and it’s a winner… Yes it’s an acquired taste but I love feminine with a manly edge. I saw them and fell in love…!!!
Every girl (and guy) should have a couple of big, beautiful coats this winter, not only for the obvious…. the warmth, but choose the right style and it’ll be a staple piece for years to come.
And a special mention to the Botanic Gardens in Sydney… style meets beautiful green surroundings…. mother nature at its best!
OUTFIT : Coat – Witchery, Skirt – Seed, Top – Veronika Maine, Shoes – Country Road
Changing your locks…. is the best accessory yet!
I’m one of those people who get bored with the same look all the time…! I change my clothes everyday (sometimes twice, three times a day) so why not change up the hair!?!
It was either going to be blonde or red…. I haven’t been red for a while… so I went with that…. bit more wintery!
The great thing about changing up your hair colour is it’s like a new accessory that you haven’t worn yet…. and most people notice! And surprisingly it can add something different to an outfit…..!
I love black….. so red hair with any black ensemble adds another dimension…. that flash of colour!
So I guess that makes me a ranga now (default though haha!)
OUTFIT : Jumper – Country Road, Black Jeans – Witchery
Yep, Black and Blue… it can work!
Here I was at the Royal Sydney show….not looking my most glamorous, wet and soggy and my shirt not feeling the love… a little crumpled from the rain!
Black and blue always seemed like a big no no!!! But it can be done for sure, especially with denim… denim goes with anything really! You can’t really notice, but my boots are also navy blue… it all blends in inappropriately and lets be honest when you’re going to the show and walking around a lot, comfort is your first thought.
Black and Blue Blend ….. give it a whirl!
OUTFIT : Pants – Witchery, Shirt – Zara, Jacket – Sportsgirl, Shoes – Target
The White Tee!!
It’s the staple that every wardrobe needs!! It can be worn many ways…. it’s comfortable and adds that cool…relaxed look.
I’ve done it three ways to show how versatile it is.
There’s nothing more relaxed and comfortable than pairing a white tee with culottes…. looks great and feels good (that’s my motto)….. Add some chunky jewellery for some edge or a leather hat to style it up a bit.
This is a must have….. a leather skirt and white tee! There is nothing better than this combo….. chuck on some pumps to make it a little more out going, or go for flats for a stylish day ensemble….!!
Monochrome it up with an androgynous look! Leather-look pants, white tee and a black vest!! To add a slight edge of femininity …..go the black pumps (to keep it In the monochrome style).
And there’s many more ways to mix it up…… JUST ONE THING…. yes a t-shirt should be cheap but buy one that is better quality…. believe me if it’s cheap and nasty… it will stretch…. crease and just look like an oversized bed shirt after a few wears (believe me I know….. opt for paying just that little bit more for a great cotton tee).
What’s your favourite white T look?

It’s Autumn time!!!
Yep….. time to start bringing out those new autumn pieces you’ve been waiting to wear because it’s just been a little too sweaty!
One of my favourite clothing items is the LONG Cardi…. you can’t go wrong!! My tip is get something that hugs your figure and shows off your curves…. it can turn a nanna like look (yes… cardi and nanna’s go together like peas and carrots) into a sexy, eye catching outfit.
Love love love….the grey cardi from Country Road and…. lets be honest it even gives me a bit of a booty (channel my inner Kim K)….!!! It draws in at the waist when buttoned up and dangles over you hips (perfect combination to get a great shape!)
Over some pants or a hot pencil skirt….. you’ve got yourself a winner….!!!
OUTFIT : Cardigan – Country Road, Pants – Witchery, Shoes – Lipstick
It’s a rare occasion I get to go away for the weekend to the coast. While I could visit one of many beautiful beaches in Sydney, it’s nice to drive away somewhere and get away from it all. This is me in my casual mode, boyfriend jeans, baggy tops, little makeup and unstyled hair.
I love the beach, I used to live 5 minutes from the water and loved to spend time soaking in the sun on the golden sand, going for a dip and then relaxing with a magazine. But now I’m in the suburbs, coupled with a busy lifestyle, it’s hard to get back to the place I love.
On the weekend, I was in Bonny Hills, not far from Port Macquarie, unfortunately it was a little cool to take a dip but the view, the sounds and the salty spray made me at ease once again.
What’s your favourite place to unwind?
